How to Schedule

Let's Talk About It Book Series

1.  Select the series you wish to offer and the dates you plan to offer it. The two-hour sessions take place at the same time and same day every other week for nine weeks.

2.  Contact Carolyn Allen, resource coordinator at the Humanities Council, to confirm availability of the series:

        Then, Carolyn will send you the Humanities Council's mini-grant application which pays
         for the scholars' honorariums.

3.  Complete the grant application and submit it to the Humanities Council at least 6 weeks in advance of the program.

4.  The North Carolina Center for the Book will send you the books, and the Humanities Council will schedule the scholars.

5.  Advertise and promote your series.

6.  Send provided contracts to the scholars and confirm arrangements.

7.  Register participants and distribute books.

8.  Host the five discussion sessions and collect participant evaluation forms at the end of the series.

9.  Collect books and ship them back to the North Carolina Center for the Book.

10.  Evaluate both the series and scholars and submit these evaluations along with the participant evaluations to the Humanities Council.
