Michael McCue
Michael McCue of Asheville is CEO of Columbus Holdings Corp., a diversified manufacturing company headquartered in Columbus, Polk County. He earned an M.B.A. in marketing and manufacturing from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration and his undergraduate degree in economics from Harvard College.
A resident of North Carolina since 1983, he is known for his historical research, publications, and public lectures about the nationally significant Tryon colony of artists and writers in the Western North Carolina mountains. He has also authored monographs and articles on other topics in American arts and letters and has curated a number of gallery exhibitions about historical arts, crafts, and photography. McCue has served on many nonprofit boards in Polk and Buncombe counties, on grants panels in Washington for the National Endowment for the Arts and has chaired the jury for the Newman Book Award in the field of American historical prints.
