Miranda Monroe is a Reading Specialist for the Cumberland County School System and an Adjunct Instructor for Reading Education at Fayetteville State University. Mrs. Monroe holds a M.S. in Reading Education from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and a B.S. from Fayetteville State University in Elementary Education and Middle Grades Language Arts.  She was a participant in the North Carolina Humanities Council’s Teachers Institute Program. The former vice president of the Fayetteville local North Carolina Association of Educators/Cumberland County Association of Educators and the former secretary of the district ten of NCAE, Mrs. Monroe is also a Diamond Life Member of the Fort Bragg Area Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. In this capacity, she has served as a chairperson of Ways and Means, co-chair of the social action committee, membership services, policies and procedures, and presently serves as the vice president.
