Vivian R. Jacobson, B.S.

Worked with artist Marc Chagall from 1974–1985

Vivian R. Jacobson has been a lecturer on the artist Marc Chagall (1887–1985) at the local, national and international level since 1978.  Jacobson has done postgraduate work in French language, culture and literature at Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago. She was the past president of the American Friends of the Chagall Biblical Message Museum in Nice, France between 1978 and 1982 and chairperson of the Friends of Chagall Tapestry from 1982 to 1986, which was presented to the Rehabilitation Institute of ChicagoJacobson worked with Chagall on various major international projects during the last 11 years of his life. These presentations are meant to bring the message that Marc Chagall has sent to the world in all of his artworks: hope, peace, reconciliation, and love.
